My daughter wants a cell phone. How young is too young?
My daughter is only years old and seems to think that she is a suffering child because she does not have a cellphone. I just dont feel that I can safely monitor who she is talking to. How do other parents do it?

My year old has a cell phone and I make sure she realizes that it is a PRIVILEGE. She has to have it off my on school nights, and on weekends. Also, I check her contacts and messages every once and a while. Having a cell phone has benefits too though. I can drop her off more places and know she is safe by sending her a text or calling her. I also trust her maturity level, which I feel is important between a parent child relationship. I trust that she will be honest and safe with her phone. Hope this helps!
